Yamnotri

 



Yamunotri Dham is one of Char Dham Yatra which is in Uttarkashi district Uttarakhand at 3291 meters altitude.The doors of the temple open on the holy festival of Akshaya Tritiya and close on the festival of Deepawali (October-November) This temple have a black colored statue of Mata Yamuna ji Yamunotri can be visited from Rishikesh, Haridwar or Dehradun. Today I am going to tell you my experience, I went alone on the Char Dham Yatra and I started this journey from Delhi like all the other travelers, I also took all the information from Google. Google can tell you  how you can go to a particular place, where can you stay  but what is exact information I can tell you.

I came to Haridwar from Delhi at 3:30 p.m. by Jan Shatabdi train from New Delhi Railway Station, it almost reaches Haridwar at 7.30 p.m.. I decided to stay in a small hotel in Haridwar at night. I had booked my hotel near Haridwar bus stand. When I got up in the morning and went to the bus stand, let me tell you one thing, that the buses go to Char Dham only early in the morning. So you have reached the bus stand early in the morning, there you can also find small tempo travelers and shared Tata sumo. I had come to share with a family in Innova from Haridwar itself.

Yamunotri can go from Haridwar by road

1.  Haridwar - Dehradun - Mansuri- Nainbagh- barcote and Janki Chatti,

2.  Haridwar- Rishikesh- Narendra Nagar- Chamba - Barcode- Jankichatti Bus fare from Haridwar is Approx. ₹ 300/-





Taking a bus from Haridwar to Yamunotri is a very difficult task because it is very crowded, due to overcloud, sometimes the bus is missed, it is better that you take the share substitute Tata Sumo which you will get from Rishikesh or Dehradun You can also come by Yamunotri flight, you have to come first at Jolly Grant airport of Dehradun, from there you can take any transport according to your convenience, you can also take helicopter facility to come to Yamunotri which runs from Dehradun.





Like told you that I came from an Innova which was shared with a family, when I came to Jankichatti with that family, I was lucky I got a room in the same hotel.  In the morning I took a mule from Hanuman Chatti. The way of Yamunotri is very difficult to climb and was very difficult for me, so I took a mule, we somehow reached the temple and the Khacharwala had already stopped 500 meters away, from there you have to walk on foot. I walked looking shops of worship items, food and drink shops 



When I reached the temple premises, it was an unimaginable sight to see Yamuna ji descending on the earth from the mountains, which was so adorable.

 I took bath in hot water in the temple courtyard and after taking a bath, I went for the darshan of Mother in the temple, when was i am in the long queue of the temple






 some people had brought a bundle of rice and they were dedicating the cooked rice as prasad to mother ji, Devotees tie rice and potatoes in a cloth bundle and cook it in the hot water of this kund to offer it to the goddess as prasad. After offering prasad to the goddess, these cooked rice are taken by the devotees to their homes as prasad I did not have any such bundle, but don't worry, if you don't have it, then it is arranged there too, if you want, at the same time. You can buy and cook and set it as Prasad to Mother, I did the same.




 After visiting the temple After that, when I came again to the temple premises, once again I kept looking at the Yamuna river for a long time.. There are many springs of hot water in the vicinity of Yamunotri temple. These springs fall in many pools, the most famous of these pools is Suryakund. This pool is famous for its highest temperature. . There is a rock near Suryakund which is called Divya Shila. This rock is also called Divya Jyoti Shila. Devotees worship this rock before worshiping Bhagwati Yamuna.



Now I was hungry too hard and the rain had started light-on-light , it was time for pet worship and I had a great breakfast with hot tea and some Pakora.

After having breakfast, I started descending slowly, due to slippery at some places, I started walking by pressing my toes and slowly taking the name of mother I started descending.

After 2 hours, she came down and reached Hanuman Chatti and waited for the rest of her companions on Innova. It was 3:00 in the afternoon and hadn't come back with me yet, so I started getting nervous and I went to the announcement room together and made the announcement in their name, they came to that office and when they came and told me they couldn't find the car.
